The Homeschool Mom Summer Summit is filled with powerful, professional speakers. The five day event could not be timed better! It is exactly what homeschooling parents need right now. Tips, systematic plans, detailed explanations, summer learning ideas and TONS of encouragement for mom are getting served up every day. Summer break is a perfect time to improve your homeschool year and a great way to get ready for next year at the same time.

I’ve been teaching at home for almost twenty years and I know one thing. There are few things I am more thankful for than to tuck away our homeschooling in summer and take a well deserved extra time. We hope for field trips to a National Park, summer camps and plenty of time for fun activities. The fact is, the anticipated transition doesn’t always come so easily. Afterall, you worked hard all year to develop a new routine, disciplines and expectation. Summer can feel like you are throwing it all out the window! Let’s build a summer homeschool schedule together.

Maximize Summer Learning Opportunities

Are your kids starting to fall into whiny behavior or the TV tube of no return? Are you ready to just start school up next week to get back to a familiar routine? WAIT! This summit will help you see summer as a time to take a different pace of learning.

Maybe you need the summer season for credit recovery courses to get your new homeschooler caught up before next year. Touch up on reading skills, find fun ways to cover Social Studies in Summer Mode. Find out how to solidify Reading Skills and get ready for the new school year by taking a closer look at new ways to improve academic skills.

Foreign Language, Math Review, Language Arts, Art Project, to Board Games and Summer fun. It is all here.

Read the full list of topics covered HERE. It will blow you away. I bet there are five answers to your current struggles on the list. I am looking forward to hearing from Keynote speaker Ana Willis, who is a wealth of humble wisdom and established homeschooling community. Unlocking Your Child’s Creativity By Kristin Lehman is a session I want to listen in to help my younger girls find their talents with summer activities. The Homeschooling Family’s Guide To Community Science By Kelly Dowd & Sue Wenger has me curious as well. A co-op would be amazing, but someone has got to start one where I live. I might learn more about these now. Science with outdoor play sounds just right for summer days outside of the homeschool room.

Whether you are homeschooling through the summer or taking a break, don’t miss the Homeschool Summer Summit!

Use this Summer to Intentionally Grow…all of you!

Yes, we are homeschoolers, but we are real people too. Summer is a great time for you to learn and grow as a parent, leader and as a homeschooling parent. Is this your first year homeschooling? Let me be the first to say, “Congratulations, you made it!” I hope you achieved some of the goals you set out to accomplish with all that hard work. I hope you found the support you hoped for this year. This summer, let’s build on it and create a community together that helps others get to the top.

Do you feel like you have a lot to learn?

Can I let you in on a secret? We all feel that way. There are always areas of our homeschool that I don’t feel confident in. Each year there are places that I did not plan for as well as I thought I could have. For many years there were scary subjects like Chemistry and Latin. Things I had never done before, but I wanted to tackle really well for my kids sake. I’ve discovered that I need to learn as much as my kids do, maybe even MORE than they do if I want to be a great leader…AND I DO! I bet you do too. that is a great thing to want as a parent.
