Mom & Beyond

I want to live a more creative fulfilling life while raising these kids! That means getting intentional about what matters and being willing to grow to get there.

Live the life you dream of…

Homeschooling gave our family the freedom to live life on our terms again.

Six minutes. That is the current average amount of that a father spends with his children on any given day. This bleak future was not good enough. We chose to beat average.

As restauranteurs, we wanted family life to be a priority, but I knew were going to have to be creative if we wanted to succeed in the business and raise a big family.

Homeschooling means more life together.

Homeschooling was our creative solution to a huge time problem. Now, we create our own hours, school days and even year round schedules. Our kids stay up late to have time with Dad. They sleep in so Mom can work on her writing goals. Homeschooling help us both keep working as parents.

Are you feeling hopelessly stuck?

Maybe you are already homeschooling and have some big dreams too. There was a time when I thought I couldn’t live out my goals and still be a good mom to ten kids. I though my life would have to wait, but I discovered that if I wanted to reach my goals my family could actually help me get there.

You can be creative, goal oriented and a homeschooling mom.

Let work together to get your homeschool organized, and your goals fired back up. There was a time I was unhappy, depressed and bored. Feeling stuck, I wanted my husband to make me happy, I wanted my kids to make me happy, I even expected God to make me happy, but I had no idea how much I could help every one of them by taking better care of my own needs. I started writing as a way to follow my own passions and goals.

Together we will find your dreams again and prove that they don’t have to divide you from your family to be fulfilling.

I took back the responsibility of caring for my own soul, self-care became a real life event instead of a wish or hope. And, I found joy at home too!

Live creatively again. Learn about how self-care is a vital part of serving your family.
Let’s do it together
Welcome to 200 Fingers & Toes

Your Homeschool Coffee Friend

I blog to encourage you. I am not always all that great at mothering ten kids. As I share about my experiences, I hope you see that you don’t need to be great, you just have to be willing. Willing to do whatever you are called to do with the expectation that God is going to show up and meet you there.

Through stepping out into big opportunities I’ve learned to face my fears and keep moving by inches and footsteps. I have become more creative and free every year since I discovered that I am responsible for taking care of my creative soul. Are you ready to step out and be brave? Let’s do it together.

Are you neglecting yourself?

We can get tricked into thinking it is a great sacrifice to put ourselves aside. In reality we are hurting the people we love by not allowing your best self to shine. Do you want to take better care of yourself, but don’t because you’ve been led to believe that it is self centered or that you don’t have the time?

In these pages I share how I made time to develop my own skills and interests, without taking away from my family. Even with 10 kids, a restaurant and a busy homeschool day. You can do this. My marriage and family is stronger than ever because I am stronger than ever. I want you to have that same feeling.

I am a Mother, a wife, a Homeschool teacher, blogger and a writer sharing my story of how God changed my life, turned my world upside down and led me down a path of creativity, forgiveness and a healthy dose of self love. Now, I want to offer hope, help and guidance to new homeschool parents who are finding their own way.

We all want to live a more creative fulfilling life while raising our kids.

The stories that excite me the most are hearing about your wins! I want to help ignite a spark, follow a notion, or rekindle an idea God placed on your heart. I don’t want to take this journey of growth alone. While I share my journey, I invite you to jump right in and walk along. We can cheer for one another along this path to our most creative and fulfilling life.
